This isn't simply a kooky marketing gimmick. The people who make clothing and suffer when it is wasted are often overlooked. Here at Zombie Parts we want to bring back the humanity to clothing consumption.
Each "soul" you save brings back an appreciation for the real life humans who constructed your garment and may help preserve the lives of those affected by fashion related pollution.
Our Origin story...
Long, long ago (2020)... from the lair of Kitty in Midwest Illinois, Zombie Parts began to take form.
At the time she worked at a secondhand store, which opened her eyes to amount of wasted clothing that exists in the world. So many garments end up getting thrown away despite the best efforts of the secondhand stores and the donors.
What could be done?
Kitty began gathering secondhand clothing and resurrecting them. Lost souls brought back to life with her paintbrush and sewing machine, just as she'd done her whole life growing up in DIY and alternative scenes. Soon, orders came pouring in and hand painting each piece wasn't feasible. So, Kitty taught herself how to screen print out of her basement, giving her the ability to bring even more souls back from the grave
A simple idea birthed a fully-fledged brand which has customers all over the globe, has been on the RIOTFEST stage, and more!
